You should hire more skilled people that the neighbors, someone with a better scope. Also, consider working with neighbor to have your line and theirs scoped simultaneously.
I feel the same way huh... my neighbor hired them all. We found out today during the camera deal that we do connect. While my disclosure said that the plumbing and the sewage was replaced to the street when in reality the replace two feet outside the house and our line doesn’t run the the street. Our line runs along our fence and to our neighbors driveway where it then meets our neighbors line and goes along her driveway and to the street...

So just to follow up (and make the whole situation better) when our lines were cameraed it was determined that they do connect. And our lines were only replaced about two feet outside the house and that looks like it was only to put the valve deal in... our line comes to a t to our neighbors then goes to the street. The obstruction is at the main so it’s going to require the street to be dug up... however, when our work was done at the house.... they didn’t get a permit to do the work.... the seller bought the house in 2013 and the repair was done in 2012 when the sellers father owned the house. Do I have a case to go back on the seller/sellers Dad for the costs, as we found something disclosed that didn’t happen??

How do you intend to prove that the seller knew anything about the matter, except what he had been told?

Well someone knew that the said work was not completed as disclosed. I talked to the guy who did the work this morning and he is sending me invoices showing what was done. If you disclose something on the documents and you aren’t 100% sure that it was done or not, why disclose it as it has been? Isnt that falsifying documents? Not sure. I’m just trying to get advice before I pursue anything.

Also it was his dad who owned it before the guy I bought it from....

I understand. But did you buy a house from your dad and live in it for five years before selling it?
Interestingly enough, I've lived in a house purchased from my father-in-law for over 20 years. At the time of purchase, I couldn't have told you anything more than what he told me (nor could my wife.)
