So just to follow up (and make the whole situation better) when our lines were cameraed it was determined that they do connect. And our lines were only replaced about two feet outside the house and that looks like it was only to put the valve deal in... our line comes to a t to our neighbors then goes to the street. The obstruction is at the main so it’s going to require the street to be dug up... however, when our work was done at the house.... they didn’t get a permit to do the work.... the seller bought the house in 2013 and the repair was done in 2012 when the sellers father owned the house. Do I have a case to go back on the seller/sellers Dad for the costs, as we found something disclosed that didn’t happen??
