Guys, I signed a contract with a client and I put this clause in the payment section. I've just removed the client's name.
These guys paid me right away. In fact everytime I issue an invoice at the beginning of the month, it's fulfilled right away.
Now the issue is . . .
Last week I signed a contract with another client and when I said I can't start until you make your first payment, they keep quoting me my own terms and keep saying that they have up to 30 days to pay and it's their right bla bla bla.
Are they correct?
Did I screw up by not putting in the exact date of payment as well? I thought when you give an invoice in the beginning of the month, it means you get paid in the beginning as well. The 30 days is just more of a formality.
These guys are already being really 'anal' about this.
1. Are they correct?
2. Is this is a sign of an annoying client?
I don't feel good about them now. They are a $12 Million dollar company so I don't get this kind of behaviour at all . . .
I want to cancel this contract (We've both signed and it has been less than 7 business days).
