Is it so hard to call it a mobile home?
Does it really burn you anti-pc buns that much to talk about somenone's home with respect?

The reference to "trailer" vs. "mobile home" is neither "classist" nor elitist. It is a simple fact. A "mobile home" is a "trailer". The terms are neutral, as used here.

The only folks who infer disrespect are those who believe that folks who live in mobile homes are somehow inferior to others.

Again, why belabor something that obviously offends someone else? Are good manners that far gone in this country?

Nope, it's classist. It's classist to actively avoid using destigmatizing language and defend problematic terms.

It's double whammy coupled with expecting the OP to be servile to some landlord with enough money for a car collection.

I want the OP to understand that the use of the word "trailer" is not derogatory.

sigh...

OP owns a home. The land it sits on is leased. IF his ll chooses to not renew the lease OP will have to move his house. It is a MOBLE HOME. If he were to try and get a mortgage on it, it would be listed as a trailer.

What ever you are "on" right now is not serving you well. Nowhere did anyone suggest or even imply that OP be "servile" to the LL.
