This is a legal forum, not a therapy forum. You asked about the legality, not the morality, of the situation. You are getting your knickers in a twist about the wrong thing. Rather than focusing on the masturbation, you should be focusing on the drinking to excess.

Believe me I have been working on the drinking issue with him for over 15 years, he refuses to do anything and it's his right. If this would have been illegal, then maybe the trouble that went with it may have shook him to his senses but I don't know if that would have done anything. It was worth a try.

I will accept your apology but you really need to understand that you are going to read things that you don't like. NO ONE on here is going to purposely try to crucify you but everyone is trying to guide you. Read the posts from that viewpoint. EVERYONE wants to guide you so you are educated. So you can be prepared. So you can understand. I am usually the most blunt because I don't have a lot of time when I respond. But you need to realize that senior members have been here for a long time and aren't "attacking". We are trying to educate.

You were appearing to be combative with the written word. Shadow was trying to help you. And I am not the ONLY one that is trying to help. But understand that you need to toughen up and be educated as to the law if you are going to proceed without an attorney. It is not going to always be presented in a rainbow and unicorns way.

The law doesn't work on what ifs. The law works on -- if he had to drive the child to a hospital and couldn't. THEN it would be but just getting drunk around a child is NOT endangerment.
