If the officer testifies that "they said yes", that would constitute hearsay. If the people who live in the house she broke down in front of testify that "She was driving", that is the statement of a witness.That's not even close to hearsay. That's the statement of a witness.She said he went to the house she broke down in front of and asked them if she was driving, they said yes....that's hearsay....
In Massachusetts, courts frequently allow hearsay to be admitted into evidence for probation violation and bail revocation hearings. I believe they do for parole hearings as well. GA is probably different.
