Doesn't it mean less money? Maybe he isnt as biased as I am but still he does have an interest in it, even if very little.

The officer's paycheck is the same either way. Their interest, as was mentioned above, is to enforce the law.

Well I meant traffic tickets...I've never seen a ticket for a traffic offense that wasn't mostly money. Unless it was something like not even stopping at all for a red light (as in just speeding without slowing down at all). Even speeding is pretty subject.

If you prefer you can do jail time rather than pay a fine.

Ahh, so speeding is ok so long as one takes care to slow down when one sees the officer, and running a red light is ok so long as it's done in a slow and deliberate manner?

I suggest that you speak to an attorney that handles traffic tickets. You do yourself no favors when you speak for yourself.

How is an officer unbiased? They write tickets to make money. How do we know he is not just mistaken? He has an interest to write tickets because it makes money.

Not for him. Cops don't work on commission. If they did no ticket would stand up in court.

You can "think" what you want...just don't spout it in court. You should make an effort to seem intelligent in front of the Judge.

I would suggest (and have suggested) that you hire a local ticket attorney. They're cheap, relatively speaking.

You already know that the officer will say that you had plenty of time to stop. How do you intend to counter that evidence?
You may wish to consider traffic school, or an attorney.
