Well I meant traffic tickets...I've never seen a ticket for a traffic offense that wasn't mostly money. Unless it was something like not even stopping at all for a red light (as in just speeding without slowing down at all). Even speeding is pretty subject.
If you prefer you can do jail time rather than pay a fine.

Ahh, so speeding is ok so long as one takes care to slow down when one sees the officer, and running a red light is ok so long as it's done in a slow and deliberate manner?

I suggest that you speak to an attorney that handles traffic tickets. You do yourself no favors when you speak for yourself.

I still think it's mostly about money as opposed to upholding the law or safety. The speed limit is written for zones not safety. And since 99% of people dont fight tickets it's easy money. But this forum isn't for debating if laws are just or the purpose of them: it's to prepare my defense for court.

You can "think" what you want...just don't spout it in court. You should make an effort to seem intelligent in front of the Judge.

so anyone have any idea what to say in conclusion? Like on what grounds should I ask for it to be dismissed?

I would suggest (and have suggested) that you hire a local ticket attorney. They're cheap, relatively speaking.

This isn't LA Law. You aren't expected to make a closing argument. State your case and shut up.
Lol that's what I mean. I can't just say [the above mentioned argument about them not being there) and not say I want it dismissed? or do I just say that's it and then they tell me the results?

You already know that the officer will say that you had plenty of time to stop. How do you intend to counter that evidence?
You may wish to consider traffic school, or an attorney.

Thanks everyone! And I was planning to counter time to stop that Zigner brought up with they weren't in the crosswalk yet or made any intention of looking like they would cross soon.

The guard issued an instruction that you failed to adhere to.
