@stealth2- I was never diagnosed with any mental disorder, I have always been able and healthy to care for our children. Yes, they were wrongfully taken, false allegations are actually lies told against us to have our children removed. We now know our rights as parents, we have a lot more knowledge than we did back in 2016. We have tried reaching out to pro bono attorneys, the state attorney that was appointed to us did not help, they lied to us throughout the time frame our case was opened. We also reached out to advocates, and attorneys in and out our area, the Florida bar and also government entities.
When you called the bar did you ask for a referral to an attorney that specialized in DCF cases?

Was your infant going to his age appropriate Pedi appts? Was s/he thriving per the Pedi?

Yes, I did. They pointed me to an attorney that handles those types of cases, when I answered all of his questions and explained to him, he told me that he would require a payment for his services.

Yes, he was. We have the records from the doctor supporting that. In fact, the doctor stated that our children were not malnourished like one of the allegations against us stated

Are you and your husband both working? Can one or both of you pick up another job to pay for the attorney? Based on what you posted here you REALLY need one.

Not all attorney's do pro bono work...their expenses are high so it's just not feasible.

One of the volunteers here is a Attorney/GAL and I will tag her to check out your thread.

Yes, we both are working. We have also provided the courts with proof of employment, leases, and many other important information needed. Yes, we really need an attorney. We need help period. The fact that we have tried numerous of times to different agencies, supervisors, corporate, government officials...etc. Our children are our main focus, their health, safety, and well-being. We have a bond with our children and that are being held from us i

My Husband and I are both working. At this time we are not able to get a 2nd job. I actuality tried that last year working 3 jobs to keep from being evicted, while trying to prove to the courts we are stable enough to regain custody. With our children being abused and we are being kept from seeing them it causes emotional stress. We had 2 home studies denied because a false allegation was we were sleeping out at a homeless village in a tent. Regardless of our countless efforts of filing our lease and check stubs with the courts we were still denied and then they closed the case.
Please if you can, we have knowledge of GAL, we also contacted them as well after our case was close to let them know of the well-being of our children, no help there either.

You're Welcome, JonesAmor16.

Q. Do you still have your parental rights? If so, is DCF now attempting to terminate them? Also if you could answer the questions I asked in post #20 that would be helpful.
Weither.
We still have our parental rights. The case was closed out to permanent guardianship with supervised visitation.

I dont mind giving whatever information you may need. This is a very sensible and very important situation concerning our children. If you need more info I can send it to you personally, instead of publicly for now, for the safety of our children. If you are wanting to help we would galdy appreciate it, its a very serious matter for us and our children

No, I am not suggesting that I can personally help you. What I am saying is that the person who has permanent guardianship of your children and how they fit into the dynamic of everything honestly matters. Based on the fact that your parental rights have not been terminated and based on the fact that things have been stated as "permanent guardianshIp" it sounds to me like either the children are in the custody of extended family or extended stepfamily.

If I am correct that honestly matters. If the children are in the custody of stranger foster parents that is an entirely different story.
