     Yes, you certainly do need a lawyer. From what you've posted, it seems like your path to US residency is through your brother, if he's willing to file for you. Maybe he can find an immigration attorney near him. You can also check The American Immigration Lawyers Association for a referral.

      When I'm defending someone, I generally ask the entity in control of any video for a copy. If they aren't willing to provide it, I'll get a court order. If I'm grouchy, I'll make them bring it to the courthouse at a specific date and time.

      In Massachusetts, a lawsuit filed with these facts would be ripe for a motion to dismiss under the Massachusetts anti-slapp statute. CA has an anti-slapp statute, but I have no idea if it would apply to these facts.
