We have the endorsement...a complete photocopy of the money order w/endorser's name, address etc. We have been able to gather a fair amount of info on the person...looking for an email address as a softer way to contact the person. Willing to negotiate w/the person so they still get something, a...
The money order never arrived home where we would have filled it out. It vanished that same day, within an estimated 2 hours (or less) from time of purchase. (no friend, family etc.). Just disappeared. It could have been lifted, or it could have been lost (fell)? We do not know.
What we do know...

Situation
A $500.00 money order vanished...unsure if this was theft or 'remote' possibility that that money order was lost. We contacted Western Union that same day, multiple phone calls, emails, different instructions provided...

Hello everyone,
Noticed a trend over the years of prospective tenants asking if the refrigerator was included in the rent. From the perspective of someone moving II could't imagine having to move with a fridge, so I have always included the refrigerator...
Right. So I was also a W2 employee prior to the most recent 1099 contract.
So do not enter anything about the consulting contract that recently ended, and just file a claim the earlier W2 work?
Also curious, when 'the company' (my consulting company) was paying into UC with prepaid tax...
ALSO, reason for leaving. Both instances, the contract dates were met, yet UC Claims form does not include that as an option.

Yes...yes. Good point.
Good news is that my last W2 actually was in 2018 (a few months worth into the year).
Went to fill it out online, and am presented with a question I'm not sure how to answer.
An entire screen dedicated to "Employer You Separated From" -
Do I use the W2 (which as the...
STATE: PA
Hello everyone, few novice UC questions and hope something here might have insight. Let me know if there is a more appropriate location for this type of question.
1099 Contractor
This is my first time as an independent 1099 contractor (who is insured and has been required to pay into...
Maybe the question wasn't quite clear. This isn't about no knowing when to delivery the unit. The question is about how to get a date from an existing tenant to vacate (so you can generate a new lease w/new tenants so the lease has a starting date) while protecting yourself in the even the...

Historically if a tenant has asked to leave the lease prior to its natural renewal/end date, I simple work with them to find a new tenant. Once the new lease has been signed, the old lease ended.
An interesting topic bubbled up this year, where I had a...
Got it everyone - lesson learned mail deposit to the last known address (even though there is clear language in the lease on provided written forwarding address.) That has been heard loud and clear (in case anyone else wanted to jump onto that same advice.)
FarmerJ - you are right the question...
Not even sure how I'd even avoid that same situation if it were to surface again in the future.
• The old lease will be dissolved once a new lease has been signed.
• Start date of a new lease is required to complete the new lease.
• If the prospective new tenant flakes out and does not sign for...
Thank you everyone.

FYI - I am not one to hold security deposits (otherwise I would have known about this kind of thing in the past.) This particular situation was contentious on all fronts. A loophole was created as I was trying to assist the tenants out of the lease. I needed an...

- Tenant vacated apartment February 2018.
- Tenant acknowledged, yet ignored, multiple requests for updated address & stopped communication late March 2018; address required for returning deposit.
- Tenant reaches out now in December providing the address...
Going forward, yes. The request for 'ID' seems reasonable for nearly anything, to ensure you are who you say you are. You shouldn't be worried about someone pulling a credit report by requesting to see your ID.
We should know when we are consenting to have someone access our credit report and when we were clear that we not consenting to a credit report. As we expressed the intention, we even refused to sign the credit check consent form (which was not presented until the end of the presentation mind...
