pay now or pay later

First off get on top of this now, go to the county mental health department and start getting counseling ( the judge will see it as a plus ) and start going to AA also, oh and if you dont watch the news I'll tell you 16 and above can be tried as an adult so your probably looking at 2 years in jail and a gang of money. The brite side is that Calif has a wonderful recovery program in jail and the money you save on a clinic will probably equal out to the court cost.
Another good cure is riding a bicycle drunk and getting your but knocked across an intersection by a truck like I did.

Is that what they mean when saying, "learning to fly by the seat of your pants?
Glad to hear that you learned a lesson and made some changes.

Don't rat anybody out for their mistakes, like anyone reading this right now hasn't made stupid decisions and just not got caught at the time. If anyone thinks turning an addict in to the authorities is "to do the right thing", then they have taken one to many hits off of their own crack pipe. Temporarily taking this person off the streets by betraying their trust is only going to add to their problems and no in house rehab is going to cure their disease. They haven't killed anyone yet, so don't giive them that guilt burden. Tell this friend that his best strategy would be to step away from his self-centered view of the world, take some control while he still has some options, attend 2-3 AA classes, pay a couple payments towards his fines, stay clean for now, and reassure him that you will put some money on his books when he does his 80 days jail time, then tell him you will give him a ride to jail so that he can go in front of the judge and get sentenced. Tell him you and his other friends will be there for him when he gets out. And then tell him if he can't be a man and do what is right for himself and his close friends, that all of you are going to show up in his master bedroom one night when he is passed out, wake him up by beating him senseless, and bitch slapping him in front of all the hot chicks, then throw him outside naked and lock the doors.
It sucks stressing about how you messed up your life, so you walk the line with some drinks to fade it away, only to get another DUI, it can always be worse and it is never as bad as you make it out  :D ;) to be, until you hurt someone innocent.
