I haven't heard the word "OBEY" used in marriage vows in a very very long time. I think they now use "Cherish" instead. They are taking a spouse, not a German Shepard.

OT - The spell check software (the one that keeps changing Baystategirl to *******ly), is now changing rmet4nzkx to redneck, so if I miss it and let it go unchanged, please don't take offense, it's not intentional.
 REDNECK!

I'm beginning to think IAAL designed it.;) (it only makes him ill)

Ok...you made a very bad mistake and married the wrong man. I hope that you learn from this and don't repeat the cycle. That isn't intended as a slam, but unfortunately many people do tend to repeat the cycle.

You can't get an annulment....so give up that idea. You will have to divorce.

Yes, its difficult to move to another state when you have a child. You will need either the permission of dad or the permission of the courts. It may not be possible to get either. You may have to remain in Oregon if you want to have primary custody of your child. Spousal support/alimony is not a realistic possibility after such a short marriage. You are going to have to get a job to support yourself.

You are going to need an attorney. You will need to ask your family for help to hire one.
I appreciate your advice. What are the conditions for an annulment? Do you have to be drunk and married in Vegas or something? I read somewhere in all the mind boggling info on Google that you may be able to get one if your spouse withheld information from you like an STD, a conviction or it even said a misunderstanding. I don't know what it meant by a misunderstanding, but sure have had our share of those. He said he was one person, but he was not. Thank you for giving a serious reply. And, no I don't plan on getting remarried because of religious reasons, but that's another reason I want to move back to California for my son to be around a positive male rolemodel like my dad and uncles. What do the courts factor in when they decide if I can take my son to California to live? My husband's felony was "Criminal Mistreatment of a Minor". That should have been a red flag for me right there, but yeah I guess I was scared of being a single mom and getting "looked at" in church, so I married him. So, custody will definetely not be an issue. I've got a list of his behavior a mile long and plenty of witnesses. I don't even know if that's what it's like in court or whatever. I really don't know what I'm doing. I didn't really think I could get spousal support, but I watch too many Lifetime movies, so I thought I would ask. Thanks!

Not wanting to be "looked at in church" is NOT a valid reason to grant an annulment. Nor is not wanting to be a single parent.

But if you have $10K-$15K to toss around, I'm sure an attorney could find some valid reason for an annulment.

What are valid reasons for getting an annulment? Was that website just totally wrong? He withheld information from me about his HPV, his weed addiction, his religion, his warrant in Colorado.

And, what I meant is I married him because I got pregnant.

If you're not a Christian you wouldn't understand this, but he said he got saved. So, I thought he was a different man.

I am a Christian...That doesn't mean you are excused for being an idiot. The "red flags" were there...you ignored it ...Remember, "God helps those who help themselves"....Loosely translated, that means use you brain!

My response:

Oh, man!!

You are just the type of chick I always looked for in school! Easy!

What She Said: "Are you a Christian?"

What He Said: (Thinking to himself - I'll say anything to get into this chick's pants!) "Oh, absolutely. I don't even drink or smoke. I found God!"

What She Said: "Okay, I believe you. Here, suck on this titty while I spread my legs wide open for you!!"

My response:

This chick is dumber than a bucket of rocks! I knew I had this post "pegged" right from the start!

The more she writes, the deeper she gets!
