If you're not a Christian you wouldn't understand this, but he said he got saved. So, I thought he was a different man.
If you are such a great christian, why is it that you could not see through his lies? It doesn't take a psychic to see that this was a train wreck from day 1.

Being a Christian doesn't magically make you "see through" lies. You wouldn't believe how deceiving this man can be. Everyone I knew thought he was a different guy. I've seen God miraculously heal people of addictions and just completely change people's lives. Besides, my husband made it seem like these people blew it way out of proportion. Men are wrongly accused everyday. You always hear about those guys who get arrested if a woman SAYS he hit her. And, all she has to do is say so. Go to that part of the forum. What I'm trying to say is I really thought he was wrongly accused.

Look, I'm not the one who ruined this marriage, so why are you all treating me like I am. I made a big mistake in marrying him in the first place, I obviously already knew that because I'm here, right? Now, I'm just trying to get some advice, and no can seem to answer the annulment question I have even though EVERYONE says I can't get one. Watson v. Watson, Minnesota. A man got his marriage annuled because his wife gave him an STD which he did not know about prior to the marriage. Minnesota has the "fraud" rule when it comes to annulment like Oregon does. Why is it so hard to get an annulment when there is proof of fraud?

I've already told you that if you have an extra $10K - $15K to throw around, you can probably get an annulment. The fact that you have a child together doesn't help your case though. Trying to use the excuse that he gave you HPV is not likely to work either. The MAJORITY of sexually active people carry HPV at some point in their life. How are you going to prove that he gave it to you instead of the other way around without spending another $10K on medical testing?

You can't claim fraud either. You have already admitted that you KNEW it was a bad idea at the time, but married him anyway. That's not fraud, that's stupidity.

I don't know why you are so set upon an annulment, but the fact is that it does not fit your situation. Maybe you want the marriage to magically disappear?? Regardless, you need a divorce.

Look up divorce/family law attorneys in your local yellow pages. Many offer free initial consultations. Write up a list of questions and make appointments. Take notes. Hire one, divorce the husband. Let your lawyer educate you on what is standard in OR. You have a lot of fantasy-bubbles that need to be popped, so to speak.

Odds are, if Dad fights your move, you will have to stay in OR to retain primary custody.

There you go. Plain and simple.
