"However, I'm done with this thread. You'll be talking to yourself from now on."
Moburks, you aren't the only one on this board, and I'm sorry but I don't really care.

Thanks for the opinion, but like I said to moburkes, who cares?

I think it's great that people can come on here to talk about this kind of thing. There are WAY too few people out there who question things. Just looking around here all I've seen so far is " but that's the law" and "you're an idiot" and other such non-constructive chatter. Talk about denial. Apparently nobody here sees how unquestioned authority leads to some pretty horrible situations. Look at Iraq. Look at our news stations. Look at our jails. Look at our commercials. Look at our movies and magazines. We allow ourselves to be fed whatever crap the government or anyone else wants us to believe. There is no harm or pathetic nature to conversation about questioning things.

Maybe I'm just fed up in general. My girlfriend's little boy (he's 7) tried to lie to me the other day about jumping on the cellar door. He said he didn't when I was watching him out the window. I told him he shouldn't lie and he said "Everybody lies".
Remember those terrorism commercials a while back that said that by you buying marijuana, you're supporting terrorism. I've got news for you, marijuana doesn't come from Iraq or Afghanistan, it comes from your neighbors attic or basement.
How about the new McDonalds commercials about their fight to cure breast cancer by donating 60 cents from every salad purchase to the American Cancer society? Then you read the fine print that says " max/min donation $100,000".
How about the WMD's.
Why does the government say that gambling is wrong and illegal etc., but you can buy government lottery tickets in every state?
Why do politicians get away with horrible scandals?
Why do people with a lot of money get found "not guilty"?
Hell, I don't know?
Anybody who feels that DUI should be handled the way it is, is wrong in my opinion.
It's the same as the way people feel about welfare. Everybody says that it's a huge drain on society and how it's so wrong etc. etc. Let me tell you, it's a single drop in the bucket compared to the money our government is squelching away on war and a million other things. The only difference between you and that guy in the gutter is family and opportunity. Nobody wants to believe it, but it's true. Nobody wants to help them. They want to ignore them.

I may not have the answers, but at least I'm not blind enough to ignore the real issues and at least I realize that good people should not be criminalized and lose so much for making a mistake like this.

Fine, call Bush and ask him to make drunk driving legal, then you'll get the perfect country that you want.

You have been given advice, now this thread can die.
