Taxing Matters

I think my blood pressure is high mostly because of my weight,
That could well be a major factor in your high blood pressure. Mine too was elevated when I was about 30 pounds overweight. I lost the extra weight and my blood pressure numbers now are right at the level my doctor characterizes as ideal. My cholesterol levels and other health indicators also improved. It is not easy to lose weight, and you have more to lose than I do. But it's well worth the effort. It'll take a few weeks to start seeing results, but once you do that can give you the motivation to continue. Success can lead to ever more success.

Right now though you have to deal with your body as it is. And trying to get what you want by threatening and intimidating others isn't going to help you. It's just a fast ticket to jail. And that's not a good place to be. Among other things, jail/prison food tends to be pretty unhealthy. You're not going to be able to control your weight on your terms while locked up.

... the only option I really have is to threaten and intimidate the dentist until they agree to do the procedure. I mean, they signed up for that. Dealing with difficult people is their job.
Threatening to harm someone (assault by threat) is a Class C misdemeanor in Texas, subject to fines up to $500. Although there is no jail time that comes with a first conviction, a criminal record results, which can wreak havoc when looking for a job or a rental or loans. The issuance of a restraining order is also possible.

No dentist is required to deal with physically or verbally abusive patients. A likely reaction by a dentist to such a patient is to call the police. The patient would be escorted from the premises by the police and told not to return.

Jack,
Based on your posting history with this site, the kind of help you need you won't get on the internet.

How petty bringing up something from well over 3 years ago, but if you must ask I actually won that case even though I went against everyone's advice. The principal and all the office staff were thoroughly investigated for discrimination and pretty much forced to let me return because they had no evidence that I had done anything wrong and no reports that I violated any district policies or behaved inappropriately. The only said part of the ending to that story is that the investigation concluded during spring break the following year after I reported them again for discrimination and won, and school shut down for the remainder of the school year so I couldn't go back and give them a few smiles to rub it in.

However, I'm not a teacher anymore. I'm a software developer and making much more money.

I got my tooth extracted by another office today.

They took my blood pressure, but felt the procedure was too necessary to hold off. A doctor isn't going to give me meds to lower my blood pressure and I can't exercise right now to lose weight due to chronic fatigue dealing with 5 months of the aftermath of COVID-19.

You were really lucky to find a dentist on a Sunday.

The dentist is open Monday-Sunday until 9pm. It was expensive, but this procedure included a bone graft. I have to go back because they confirmed every one of my molars has cavities in them, which sucks, but at least I know the first place wasn't lying. They told me it was fine if I wanted to take a day or so to think about it or go somewhere else to get it done, but they showed me the picture of the tooth and it was breaking apart in all areas and they estimated less than a week or so before I would start to feel excruciating pain, so I think it would be kind of mean to say I couldn't get it done because of my high blood pressure, because my doctor isn't going to give me blood pressure medications due to my current health issues, and it will take me months to lose back the weight I gained since I've lost the ability to exercise and energy to cook my meals.

If you found a dentist you like and trust, there appears now to be no reason to entertain thoughts of verbal assaults. Good.

Good luck with your various health issues.
