Check your blue pages under mental health. Start calling. You CAN find good therapy with sliding scale fees. She needs therapy. If she is truly dealing with domestic abuse, even if she is only witnessing between her Dad and his wife, she needs to talk to someone. Call your local domestic violence center. They may be able to offer her free therapy. My 7 year old son has to deal with this kind of crap and I have him in all kinds of therapy. They help him cope with his feelings, work out a safety plan for when he is over there, and give him all kinds of outlets for dealing with his feelings. Do not delay here, this is very important.

Yeah, but... Dad has joint decision-making, including for non-emergency health care. Counseling is most likely included in that - so OP needs either Dad's consent or a court order before kiddo can receive that help.
