No I didn't park in front of it or get a ticket. It's directly across from my own driveway and my neighbor parks there making it extremely difficult to back out.
Oh, what happened when you contacted the police about your neighbor blocking the driveway? THAT is who you need to talk to, since they would be the one to enforce any law that might be broken.

It,doesn’t make any difference. The op has no option available to them regardless whether it’s legal or not other the to report the matter to the police. Even if it is not a legal curb cut, if the police refuse to act, op cannot do anything about it
I agree. I believe that it's a legal curb cut that is simply no longer used. It's possible that MI or even Battle Creek laws/codes would consider parking in front of it to be legal, but even if they don't, as you we pointed, out, if the police won't do anything, then the OP likely has no recourse.

Looked at the Battle Creek code I can't find any mention of it being a violation. BUT there is mention here of a fine for blocking a driveway there is no mention of a fine for blocking a curb cut.

Ideas:
Learn to back your car into your own driveway so when you pull out you can do so easily.
Get a back up camera installed if you haven't already. If you do learn to use it better.
Practice driving in a closed lot with some cones so you learn the size of your vehicle better.
Get lessons with a driving instructor so you improve and gain confidence in your ability to drive.

Lots of people live in far more congested areas than you do. The real problem is you are a poor driver.

There is a driveway. It’s simply overgrown. I suspect the cops will simply say the owner of the lot with the missing house hasn’t complained and since thst is who the law is designed to benefit, they aren’t going to do a thing about the situation.

Ah, the truth comes out. You have trouble backing out of your driveway.

Well, what if there was no curb cut and your neighbor parked there? You'd still have trouble backing out of your driveway.

Give it up. The problem is you, not your neighbor.
