WE are not married. She can apply and receive on her own. She has in the past.

And would she just commit fraud, and not put you down as a member of the household? Because that is information you are required to include.

If she applied for benefits on behalf of herself and the children, the state would definitely like to know where you are. If you were cohabiting at the time and made adequate income, the application would be denied. If you were maintaining separate households, you would be expected to reimburse the state for the cost of supporting YOUR children.

YOU made *food* the issue when you felt that she should have applied for benefits while living under the same roof as you. YOU cannot argue that you are just roommates because roommates do not spawn children together.

YOU will have to stifle your attitude before entering a courtroom, because having that sort of attitude towards the mother of your children will not encourage a judge to look upon you favorably.
