You have found a wealth of info here.Im in the process of doing that. I was hoping to find additional information here. I have been to four other websites providing free legal representation in my county. None of them have been able to provide an attorney yet. Maybe they will be able to offer help later in the month.
It's the exact opposite of "common sense." Facts are facts.Complaining...but is also common sense.
There are rules to requesting discovery. FOLLOW THEM. Oh you don't know the rules. How hard is it to simply have the court order that all personal income information be sent to the other spouse. Its a simple request. But the court roadblocks the process because it isnt done the way the court wants it to be done. Further forcing the need to rent an attorney. This isnt justice, its just some legal industrial complex.
OP, you should take this advice very seriously. There is living proof of someone who used Bob and now their brain is all messed up.Well, you can always look at it this way.
Would you rather have your neighbor Bob perform brain surgery on you, or would you rather have Dr Betty - who has gone through years of specialized training - do it instead?
You want the knowledge of a lawyer, why shouldn't you pay for it?From the posts here, I think we have reached some common sense. Some of the people here think this is just a business, and they feel entitled to attorneys fees at the expense of justice, due to their years in law school. They offer no advice, except to say get a lawyer, not my problem. It makes sense, and that attitude was clarified from these posts.

Let me ask you a question.... do YOU work w/o being paid? From the posts here, I think we have reached some common sense. Only one attorney answered you. The rest are in a variety of non-legal professions, who have earned experience in family (and other) law. From the posts here, I think we have reached some common sense. I am even going to expand on that. Lots of us here are probably capable of representing ourselves in court because we have many years of informally (and somewhat formally sometimes) education on matters of the law. However, we can only do that because we have a fundamental understanding of how it all works. Now, I can just about guarantee that none of us here, even with that fundamental understanding, would willingly represent ourselves on anything that was truly important to us.Only one attorney answered you. Blows your theory, doesn't it?
I agree with both you and Silver. I -- AS AN ATTORNEY -- would not represent myself. WHY? Even though I could, the emotion of whatever would destroy the case. I couldn't separate myself emotionally. That is what is NECESSARY with the law. You have to deal with the law and NOT the emotion of whatever you are going through. And I have a fabulous track record with my clients of winning. Still with my winning record, I wouldn't rep myself.I am even going to expand on that. When we see a poster come here who clearly doesn't understand even the basics...then absolutely yes, we are going to seriously encourage them to find a way to get an attorney hired.
Maybe breast enhancement?(Sorry, I can't help but crack up laughing when I think of Betty Boop doing brain surgery... )
Nope, OP is unemployed.Let me ask you a question.... do YOU work w/o being paid?
