Thanks judge.

Silly question: should we practice what we'll say or just know the facts and answer honestly but spontaneously. Never been before a judge and said more than "Yes, your honor" "No, your honor" and "Thank you". I have tremendous respect for judges, but am terribly intimidated by them. I'm just a law-fearing citizen :)
If you are asking me if you should be prepared for any situation in life, then my answer is yes.

I was pondering last night and asked The Armed French Canadian, "Do students at the school of podiatry strive to be at the foot of their class?"

"Yes," TAFC said, "and if they do not make it, they suffer the agony of defeat."

Judgy,
One must then consider, What if their feet smell and their nose runs? Do they have a cause of action?

Estimates can be used for proof of loss and a basis for damages. However an estimate is an estimate and once work is being done, their may be additional damage not seen. An example of this was the front bumper of my car that was hit by another vehicle while my car was parked. The damage seemed minimal or as minimal as it can be with a plastic bumper. The cost more than doubled once the work started. Insurance paid the bill.
