What is the name of your state? ND

I see that her life and mine are similar... I also want to be emancipated.
But I figure I can support myself, hey maybe her and I can get emancipated together!! ha. I guess I wouldn't have such a hard time taking care of myself. I also work a 6 dollar an hour job and if I could get emancipated I would work full time and buy a car (I have the money in my savings account, and my parents wont let me do either of these things) I have a house already just waiting for me to move into it, and it belongs to me so I don't have rent to pay. It is a one bed room house-very small- so it wouldn't be to hard to heat. I am an honor roll student (thats gotta count for something right?) Plus it would only be me and my boyfriend (who works a $10 an hour job from 6am-6pm) so considering this, do you think I could get a court to emancipate me? (I heard they don't always need parental consent, b/c I know that my parents wouldn't consent to that)

I posted this link on the other thread where you asked the question but here it is again.

No, I do not think you could get court to emancipate you. With or without parental consent. Even in states where they do consider emancipating a minor, you have to be able to support yourself BY YOURSELF - that means without your boyfriend's income. And even full time, you CANNOT support yourself on a $6 an hour job.

How are you going to go to school if you're working full time? Especially and maintain an honor roll status.

No court is going to emancipate a 16 year old so that you can go live with your boyfriend. Particuarly if this is the boyfriend that is already in trouble for violating a restraining order.

Here is a link with a link to your other threads, https://forum.freeadvice.com/showthread.php?t=199372
Until you start telling the truth your parents are not going to allow you to be emancipated or live with your boyfriend or anyone else outside of their control. Even if you go to court, do you think the judge will let you be emanciated once your parents tell them what you have been up to? Please, now is the time to be honest and to act your age, work hard at school, get your education and build a future. You will need your family even after you turn 18. No go and tell your parents the truth.

And, a quick read of North Dakota laws on emancipation of minors seems to indicate that they do not have any. So, it looks like a couple more years at home.

There is something that is off with BrokenInside. The maturity level of the writing does not match the immaturity of the situations.

My guess is that BrokenInside is actually a 40 year old man, posting from his mother's basement between shifts at Taco Bell. I could be wrong, but the way this situation is being played out makes me think this person is trying to play everyone for a fool.

BI - you can pretty well forget abotu emancipation. If you're not mature enough to follow your parents rules, no judge is going to consider you mature enough to be on your own. The only place you're on the way to living apart from your parents' is Juvenile Detention.

Been there already, but my Psych Eval. ruled that my parents were the problem, not me.

Why is it that every teenager screams emancipation whenever they don't get along with their parents?? Why is every teenager so keen to start having the burden of paying bills, dumping their education and any chance of a decent career? I don't get it, you'll have to spend your entire adulthood struggling for money and being able to pay bills and probably not afford to get a further education and get a well paid job, believe me, it's not that great!!!! I would do anything to be a teenager, live at home and have everything paid for by my parents again!!!!!!
You all need to get back down to earth and start communicating with your parents, no one else is going to have your back and not expect anything in return FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

That can hardly be the case with your pathological lying, and other problems, you don'r even know what is involved in a psych eval, nor would it rule your parents at fault, get real, grow up, start telling the truth.

I agree with rmet4nzkx, psychiatric evaluations are not written that way, and responsible psychologists/psychiatrists do NOT tell their clients things like that. You should consider real therapy though.

they didn't come right out and say that, they just said that the way I am is because of my parents, and that its not my fault that I am like I am. I was raised funny or something. And my parents aren't exactly saints either. Just last weekend they threw a party and made me stay there and kept me up all night and I had to be at work the next morning.

They kept you in the house under their supervision so you couldn't sneak out. you may be the way you are because of your parents but you can change your behavior and pathalogical lying, you can stay home and not lure older men into having sex with them. You can grow up, now go and tell them the truth like I told you before.
