I have called the local SSI agency and asked about this, and they say yes it is possible for me to get the check, but I don't know if the people that answer are a legitimate source, they're probably just secretaries/operators.

And as to where I'm planning on staying I got 2 acquaintances that rent a 3 bedroom apartment and split the bills, and they would love to have me move in with them, as I would provide $750 monthly (If I do get my check) to pay for bills/groceries/cigarettes
You get $750 of SSI?

That seems like a high amount.

If you're mentally ill enough to be receiving disability, you should not be living on your own.

If you're well enough to be living on your own, you should not be receiving disability payments.
Lots of people on SSI live on their own.

My cousin has moderate mental retardation and lives on his own, since his father passed away. He keeps current on his bills and has help from a social worker.

Yep, Nellie $750 a month you and I will be contributing to this mentally unstable person's ciggy budget.

One good thing. I'm sure it won't be for long because I stole the crytal ball from SJ's dog temporarily and it says that a 6 x 9 is in his future. At that point we get to contribute to his living expenses in another way, he'll just be a little less accessible to society.

I thought SSI was only around $600 a month.

Seriously, $750 a month isn't going to go far, particularly when you factor in cigarettes. I certainly don't see buying, maintaining and insuring a vehicle in his future.

My condolences to whomever rents an apartment to a 17 year old felon and his friends.
