No it wasnt. What is wrong with u people?? I asked a simple question and got attacked like im some criminal. Probably none of u know anything anyway, which is why u r sitting in front of your computers messing with people for entertainment. I have never had so much as a speeding ticket, who do u think u are to judge a person and assume they are trying to do wrong? I asked "what can the ramifications be if i dont pay" not how can i "get away" with not paying!
I don't *do* text-speak.

That is not what i was asking! I dont have $25,000 but i do have two children i am raising, whe my exhusband owes ME $30,000 in child support. I was only trying to find out could i get in legal trouble ( jail, atty fees, etc) if i dont have money to pay the taxes that he owes.
Yes, you can get in trouble if there's a court order for you to pay 1/2 of the taxes and you don't pay. You could be charged with contempt which could have a variety of penalties, up to and including jail time.

The fact that he owes you money isn't going to be a defense.

Im sure that's not all you dont do. Hiding anonomously behind a computer, picking on people who are just asking for advise.
probably never stood up for yourself a single time in real life. How sad your life must be to feel the need to do that :(

Thank you. Thats all i was asking, not looking for someone to "help me break the law." I didnt know i could be held responsible since we didnt file jointly, but aparently I was wrong.
