Bail is money paid as a guarantee of your return for trial and is paid in lieu of incarceration.
I'm not trying to disagree with anyone on here and I am being 100% honest about what happened in 2002-2003.
MY bail-bondsman knew 10000% I was returning to the UK, as did the police (as otherwise they would have kept my passport)
As soon as the situation changed and they upgraded to a felony and there was a court case, my bailbonsman phoned me in the UK and told me I need to hire an attorney, which I did and here we are today.
I did exactly as I was told from being arrested on that day and throughout.
I had a court case date in 2003, so I did the correct thing, hired an attorney and booked a flight to Orlando for it.
