I actually wouldn't mind at all if birthdays were left out of the equation altogether due to the crazy schedule we already have with all the family spread far and wide. It's no skin off my nose if they're not with me on THAT DAY.

And she did just have her own. I'm wondering how that will affect her overinvolvement. Maybe she'll back the hell off now.

I hope & pray everyday that nuttyX knocks up his new wife ASAP...for that very same reason!!!

BTW~ Did I tell you my youngest came home with 4 1/2 inches lopped off her almost waist length hair?!!!!!!! Interestingly, now she & step-mom have the same length hair. Ick. Gag. Puke

Wow, no Spring Break? I have them home for two whole weeks!! I have vacation for the next week and 1/2. Hooray!!!!

It's weird for me too. I grew up in a college town and we had the same Spring Break that the students did since there were so many parents who were professors or students... usually around 10 days. So to not have one at all is bizarre.

But we do have a shorter school year. And, since they usually make the kids go to school on MLK day and President's Day and Columbus day to make up for snow days... we hardly ever actually make it to the end of May with them in school.

Yeah, I know. But sometimes the high road is sooooo boring. I'll live my evil desires vicariously through a friend for now. I'm still enjoying how crazy it makes the ex and his wife when I'm uber nice to both of them and thank them oh so sincerely for every second that they 'let' me spend with the girls.
