i like life without a cell phone. no one fussing at me that i won't pick up the phone while i'm in class, or in a school meeting. when i'm in my car...i can raise the volume because i don't have to worry about not hearing the phone ring and some jerk on the other end mad cuz i didn't pick up on the 1st ring. i like not being reached.lmao... am i the only one who remembers life before cell phones and pc's??? remember walkmans, vcr's..oooh betamax!!!...lol...
man when i was a kid the most advance thing out here was freaking portable cassette players and then lo and behold the cd player came out...i used to work for tmobile back in the day when they were still omnipoint, when they had the stupid bird as their advertising and the phones were HUUUUGE analog bricks...and those were cool!
kids nowadays are really lucky!
im telling you i have over 10 yrs in the wireless industry, people have a heart attack if they dont have their cell phone when they walk out the door. i've watched the industry change everything so much its crazy....i also used to sell pagers and beepers...lol...i like life without a cell phone. no one fussing at me that i won't pick up the phone while i'm in class, or in a school meeting. when i'm in my car...i can raise the volume because i don't have to worry about not hearing the phone ring and some jerk on the other end mad cuz i didn't pick up on the 1st ring. i like not being reached.

kind of reminds me of the movie Butterfield 8 with elizabeth taylor. she had answering service she called in to check her messages, from any phone she called from.My dad's first pager for work wasn't even the kind you could enter a number in for it to display....it was all voice! You had to call it, leave a verbal message and hang up....then it would sound like a walkie talkie when the message came through!

when humans actually took messages!! and actually delivered them!
