In other words, your final two payments were not included. You're going to end up paying it either way. So go in and re-sign, or send the payments directly to the leasing company.
He said that the leasing company provided a "buy out" figure. That would include any outstanding payments remaining so I do not get where you are coming from. I did exactly the same thing last November. I purchased the car I had been leasing two months before the end of the lease. The buy out figure from the leasing company included the last two payments.
OP, if it does eventually turn out that the last two payments were not included (and I would not cave on that issue without doing lots of research) you might want to use that opportunity to have them remove all of the things they upsold you on from the contract.
