Questions about visits

You know for a judge you sure are judgemental and unprofessional.

Being judgemental is sort of what judges are supposed to do. And SJ is anything but unprofessional. Fact is - the DUI COULD cause you problems both in your professional and personal life. Dad COULD use it against you should he choose to do so, as could your school district. So advise that you be proactive in ways that could help you is neither judgemental nor unprofessional. Sorry.

Thanks...this is advice about handling a situation other than a dui. I don't know where you all come from but around here dui's are common and do not make everyone an alcoholic, druggie, or a bad parent. Now can we please get back to the original post.

Common does not = acceptable.

Thanks for the real advice that some of you gave me...as for the rest of you, this is a legal forum for those who wish to seek advice. My stupid mistake has nothing to do with visitations for my daughter. I am not a bad person or an unfit mother for going out with a friend once and making a stupid mistake. This was my first dui and i intend for it to be my last. You live you learn, as I intend fully to accept my actions, take full responsibility, and deal with those consequences. I am sure i will have to take a chemical asessment but I'm sure that they will find I'm not an alcoholic and i do not do drugs. I came to this particular forum to ask advice from professionals or those who may have been in simular situations about how to handle a situation for my daughter. If you are not here to give advice or get advice I think you may be on the wrong website...try AOL or yahoo. You can defame plenty of characters there.

Let me try this one agian. Things have been very well with visitations so far. He has even allowed me to be there so far. We have been getting along great. I do not think he intends to use anything agianst me. I just wanted some opinions on the visits not the dui. he is fully aware that I asked these questions. He has been honest and supportive (to my knowledge) and I intend to do the same. Agian just wanted opinions . Thanks for your time.
