Teenrights? lol

I know how fast my car goes already [: 144 mph electronically limited. 0-60 5.4 seconds. I don't need to race my friends who have jeeps... That's not a fair race. I'm not stupid either. I know we can't credit my entire generation with that.
Tinker - My dad actually used my car for the last few months, it already has the tags. The gas - I have to pay for when it doesn't involve school. Major Repairs - I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I come from a fairly privileged family, so I don't think the money so much is a problem. I'm not spoiled though. I have to pay for everything but the basic things in my life.

Zigner, did it ever happen to you? or are you just arbitrarily deciding who's mature and who's not. You seem like an old, bothered, and arrogant person. I don't care for your opinion.

When I was a middle-teenager, my mother worked at a state facility that cared for folks with head wounds. You would think that it would have been enough to make me be cautious. It wasn't. Looking back, it is VERY clear to me that I was extremely lucky to "make it" to my old-person status. Yet, here I am.

You lack a great deal of maturity and I understand that. I actually am not "old" enough yet to forget that stage of my life. But I am "old" enough to realize just how wrong I was (and lucky.)

I hope you make it too.

I would certainly prefer to make it as well. Yet, I'm not the kind of person to limit myself unnecessarily either. Most people make it. I'm willing to go for it, and if I don't make it, that's a tragedy. Unfortunately it would only support the law I dislike so seriously.

If you don't like the law, then you petition for it to change. You have NOT posted any argument that has won anyone over in this forum YET.

Until it is changed, you follow the law. If you choose NOT to follow the law, you accept the penalty, which can land up causing you not to drive until 18 or later. Totally up to you.

Plead your case like you were going to Lansing. See if there is a valid argument somewhere in there.

The government can place limitations on time and location of meetings. Yes, you have the right to free speech. They can restrict the times, locations and can place requirements of bonds.

No one says you can't assemble. They just say that as a 16 year old, you cannot "assemble" in a moving vehicle.

Sadly, teens don't usually just take themselves down when they crash ... if you
had seen what I had seen you might understand what some of us old guys and gals are talking about.

The bottom line is that you do not have to like the law any more than you have to like the rules your parents set out for you. While it's a pity that your parents rules atre not more restrictive than the government ones, you are still obligated to follow them. And, like them or not, if you get caught violating the laws you can suffer the consequences.
