Seriously, I have my family tree back to the 6th century. I really am related to the Royal Family...Like many, many, many others.
My Mom actually published a book on our family. She has been doing Genealogy for about 40 years...Half of Mass is related to to the Royals...'cause they were (are ??) sl**s.We got ours to around 1485 (I believe); records prior to that were really sticky. There is still the rumour though that one of my great-grandmother's ancestors had an illicit child with a certain member of the royal family at that time...but I think most Brits try to claim that at some point.
