I received a notice from family court stating he is trying to get custody of the children and that they be brought back to NY... Sorry.
I did make a big mistake by being with him, My kids are afraid of the door bell not by what I have told them, but their grandmother showed up here last year and punched me in the face and tried to take them from my home. So I think they have every right to be afraid.
But great old state of florida would not give me an order of protection from her since we did not live together and it only happened once.

You honestly expect anyone to believe that the state of Florida did not do anything about her trying to snatch your kids from school and then assaulting you at home?

And by the way LDIJ, is QUASH and whatever fool she gets for an attorney can't have it quashed. It's a valid warrant issued by the state of New York. They will serve it on her and then she can fight extradition but will lose.

Now, anyone have an idea WHAT QUESTION I'm waiting on?

I was not intending to say "quash"...I was using the word "squash" as a descriptive term, not as a legal one.

Can you go online and view the case from NY ? If you can see what is filed you may be able to get working on the response prior to actually being served. I do think that if they try to serve you at work you will have a hard time avoiding it. Better to deal with it rather than avoid it.

He has set things up very cleverly. He demands that you get a cell phone in his name, and then he turns around and prosecutes you for identity theft.....and then turns around again and uses that as a basis to try to take the children away from you, and place them with his mother.

However, if you get yourself an attorney (again, borrow the money if you have to) you should be able to squash this whole thing. However you need to do it NOW.
