I do not understand why a small number of us have little green caps on the top left of our colored box. What does that mean?

If you hover over it you will see that it means they are online. You should only ever see yourself with the green tab.

I can bet that the XenForo importer choked on them when they weren't actually images. The old forum link function used the IMG tag which was kind of an unanticipated hack.

I don't see the report buttons either.
If that is the case, the majority of my posts have become a bit worthless, since many times all I posted were links to the laws.

I just checked one of my old posts where I used the IMG tag to make a live link and, instead of the link, was only a little box with an X in it.

The new system thinks image tags are actually images. So if it does not find an image, it shows a "broken image" icon (the little box with the x in it).

This is an example of an actual link.

We will have to compose a script to try an turn old links into actual links.

I meant that when you are online you will see yourself as online. Hence you will only see yourself as online. Unless as has been pointed out you change your settings so that nobody can see when you are online.

Thank you again, Woody. My posts where I say, "Here is a link to the law" followed by an empty box are rather sad looking.

My bigger concern is the report function as I am running across a lot of posts that contain reportable material (bad language, commercial messages, links to attorney websites) but the posts remain in place after reporting. I sure would like to see that changed before spammers come along.

This thread is getting long, so I don't know if this was posted previously. It would be good to have the disclaimer back at the bottom of the page so that posters will understand that we are simply other consumers offering advice, and not actual attorneys (generally).
