With mine you can provide your own, or they will provide one for a monthly rental fee.Your cable company doesn't provide a router with your service???
Haha. I know dialup service exists even today. My tenants have used it because it's cheaper and month-to-month.I hope you mean DSL and not dialup! I don't think dialup anything exists anymore.
I had no idea. Back in the day it was bad enough for mostly text-based content. I can't imagine using the modern Internet via dialup.Haha. I know dialup service exists even today. My tenants have used it because it's cheaper and month-to-month.
I understand the advantage to students is less cost and no "package" or time commitment required. Of course, speed is sacrificed and a landline is necessary. Neither can I. I would not think it's even possible to but a modem either, but I poked around and see that you can!According to a CNN article 2.1 million people still use AOL dial up.
I can't imagine.
If you ever want to find the cheapest ways to do anything, look at what college students are doing.Neither can I. I would not think it's even possible to but a modem either, but I poked around and see that you can!
WOW.
Most of the students I know have smart phones. And I would say dialup is rare. But it is still used. Depends on the area and need, I suppose.Every college student I know has a smart phone and most are capable of creating a hotspot. No, I do not know ALL college students.

There are some rural areas where the only affordable option is dial up.Right - I was actually thinking along the lines of rural users...
