They can have your paycheck garnished...your tax returns taken...and it will be listed on your CR. No decent LL will rent to you again.

everyone has rights... even squatters. I'm not less of a human. I'm living with my boyfriend so i dont need any rental history and this is a civil matter so they cant take it from my paycheck. I should have been evicted properly instead of them changing the locks on me

A civil judgment allows for the garnishment of wages and attachment of assets in most states. Texas limits how judgment holders can satisfy their judgments, however. Your wages, I believe, are safe from garnishment and only non-exempt property can be seized. Most debtors hold only exempt property.

Whether they have money or not has no bearing on whether you get an award for an illegal eviction. For the record, I don't see an illegal eviction here.

This is called a self help eviction and it is illegal... changing locks or shutting off utilities is not legal
