Hello all. This question is for me. I recently opened an account with boost moble. Everything was going great; i had great reception, coverage and data speeds. During the first week i recieved a notification that 85 pct of hotspot data has been used. I checked my settings and hotspot was off. A few hours later i got a text that all my hotspot data has been used. I went thru my phone and realized the only data being used was that data being ran through my torrent app(p2p)
I called customer service and asked them ...or more like told them whats going on and could not get any help because none of the reps knew what p2p is or torrents..so they escalated the call to a super visor..i the sup didnt know what i was talking about either so they escalated to a super supervisor and promised me a call back in 24 hours...a week later and many phone calls ive gotten no response as to why p2p is being counted as mobile hotspot.
Now payments due..i dont want to pay until i get an answer because they dont offer refunds.....but today my service was shutboff so i paid the 80 bucks. So i go to the store and talk to rep there. He has no idea what im talking about...so im tired andbjust getting ready to leave when something catches my eye...theres an ad for there 50 a month plan..on the very bottom it says p2p and vpn usage will go against data..he laughs and says thats new to him..so educate him on what it means n told him to disclose this to future customers... Before leaving i ask him to show me in customer agreement where it mentions this amd told him if he could show me id be happy..so he looks and looks and cant find it anywhere in the agreement.
So i have 2 questions 1...how do customer agreements work? Hell i worked for verzon wireless and we were taught a customer agreement is a contract that binds both parties to an agreement. And 2.. It says in the agreement that we have to use a 3rd party mediator to deal with issues..is this effectively giving up my right to take this to court?
