Is it really, though? I would have the same issue if he'd said "Call me and I'll decide whether they're sick enough to stay home." We're not talking about anything major, not Dr appointments or anything (which I'd still have issues w/him deciding whether he found them necessary).

KWIM?
I know, my point was just that your kids stepmother didn't have any say so in the matter. :D

Yeah, but SHE'S educated and I'm not. She does, after all, have an associates degree in 'general studies'.

Cjanes first of all I have to say that you are one Damned nice lady!!!! Your ex should be kissing your ass you haven't chopped his nuts off yet!

I didn't even know an Associate's in General Studies was possible until she said that in her depo. I laughed my azz off on the inside.

And no ritter, I'm not nice. What I am is patient.

I don't think that Soccer did, or that s/he even bothered to look at the history. Cjanes ex INSISTED that his wife be the daycare provider. Hell, sometimes I forget to call my ex and/or his wife. Luckily, I don't get grief over it. It doesn't matter if Cjanes kids stepmother doesn't think they are sick. That is a decision between Cjane and her ex.

I'm sure that Soccer didn't read this post and I am damn sure it didn't bother to read the history...;)

The ex and his wife are way out of line...48 hours notice...How would one know 48 hours in advance if the kids are going to be sick and stay home?? ...I can see it now..."Hello Dick, Yes... just wanted to let you know that the kids are looking a lil' peaked and will be staying home and not attending day care with your wife on April 13th"....:p

I totally agree, my daughter is in day care, and I go pick her up whenever I please.... often times with NO notice at all, and ya know what, they never blink an eye about it, why...because it's their JOB to be available for the hours they have committed to be available- it is entirely up to me to use their service or not

Exactly! They get paid (at least around here) whether the kids are there or not, and by the same token, the kids go whenever I feel like dropping them off until I feel like picking them up.

I actually tried to talk the ex and the SMom out of the daycare provider thing when it was first brought up, on the thought that she'd want to be thought of as more than a babysitter. Didn't work. Not my problem.

Well, I guess that would make her a better mother than me. I went to college for two semesters and had to leave because I couldn't afford it anymore. Made me mad, I was in for paralegal and had a 4.0 GPA.

Your X is a tool...

LOL But I'm sure I've said that before.

Next time they kids are sick have them barf in a baggie, grab a stool sample and send it fedex to them for inspection. :D

CJane. I can feel what you are going through. Seems that my ex and his soon to be wife are much like yours and his! I have been following your posts since last fall and I have learned a lot from your case! I think the most important thing that I have learned is patience and use other sources to blow off steam (such as this forum) rather than blowing at the ex.

Due to what I have learned from YOUR history I was able to handle a very sticky situation today so thanks for all the sharing! You are helping someone out here! :D
