I didnt say that the school wouldnt call.... what I said was I HAVE NEVER had to Call the daycare provider and tell them in advance that my child was not going to be attending that day.

Yes and what I said is if my kids miss day care, then they will call... i.e. they expect a call from me and if they don't get it, they will call to check on the kids status.

Most daycares DO NOT do this and it is not a requirement.
