Just curious: Is he using the name Asshat so we know who he is?? LOL :p
Heh. No. But a quick search of my posts... particularly one titled "Probably O/T, in which case I'm sorry" would probably reveal his S/N pretty quickly.

... I'm forced to have the child on medicaid because he won't cover him on insurance as ordered, AND he's in arrears.
Oh, too bad I didn't see his thread before he deleted it. I would have been happy to give suggestions on how to increase his income so he can support his child. I'm sure that's what he was taking the time to ask advice about, right?

Yes, I'm sure that's what he was looking for.

The CS amount is set based on him making $12/hour part-time. Honestly, how much could his income have decreased in order for CS to drop by 42% as he claimed it would?

I'll tell you how much... because lil ol accounting person me ran the numbers.

He'd have to be making $3/hour. That's right. $3.

Given my income at the time the order was put in place ($27K) vs his income at the time the order was put in place ($24K or so), the CS came to $318.

EVEN IF his income really is 1/2 what he originally had the order set based on, that's $6/hour and his obligation is STILL $305/month w/costs for child care included... which they weren't when the order was set in place.

And given he CHOOSES to be 'self-employed' as opposed to having a real job, that would be seen as voluntarily underemployed anyway. His imputed income of $12/hour FULL-TIME actually makes his obligation NOW $433/month and that's before you add in the arrears of $856.17.

Good gosh, my full-time college student, part time law office clerk 19yo stepdaughter makes more than him! Does he have other children? Why isn't he working AT LEAST 40 hrs/week?

Oh, I'm sorry. You must have misread. I said that's what he CLAIMED and what CS was BASED ON... I know, and I would assume the world knows, that he makes considerably more than that.

Median income for his claimed profession is $44K/year.

But just so you know... this is MO and cost of living is LOW. I'm betting you couldn't survive out there on what I make.

If my memory serves me right, he's a dog handler. My son was working out in California as a dog handler. He looks for things that go boom. Also looked for the stuff that makes some people happy or crazy.

Anyway, he was 'part-time' also. He was scheduled for 12 hours per week at .... drum roll .... $75.00/hour. So, maybe ASSHAT would like a lead on a real job, I'm sure I could give him a couple of leads. Now, Blackwater is looking for dog handlers in IRAQ - they pay $15K/month. So, PLEEEZZZZEEEE .... $12.00/hr ....

He WAS a K9 officer once upon a time. Not a clue really what he made then.

But alas, he was 'let go' after DV charges were filed against him... of course, there was NO CONNECTION.

When CS was set, he was working as a delivery driver, part time.

Now, in his thread today, he claims to be 'self-employed in the transportation industry'. That's where the median $44K comes in.

For all we know, that could mean he's delivering pizza for tips. :D

I know I'm new, but can someone tell me what asshat refers to? I get that you're talking about someone's ex, but what is the origin of the nickname?
