My 3 year old GS balked at learning to swim with apparently well qualified instructor ...then a few weeks later he jumped in and swam all over the place.
Kids are kids and don't always progress exactly as we adults think they should.

AS posted, child consumed the services , no refund is in your cards.

I have that first quote in my signature for a reason - "Children aren't coloring books. You don't get to fill them in with your favorite colors." It is a very valuable lesson that I learned as a parent. Not all kids are good at what you want them to be good at. And that's okay.

OP - how old is your child?

LOL I know. But it does happen.
I know. Both of my children learned the basic's from Dad and I and the more advanced stuff from a cousin that was a Life Guard. I will tell you tho...If I sent my child for lessons and she was tossed in the deep end? I flipping kick the instructor in the balls/vagina. You do not teach by scaring a child like that.

We pulled #1 out of the pool and left, never to return. And honestly? The lost lesson fees never crossed my mind.

When I was a kid we went to a pool party at a home with a built in pool with a slide at the deep end. I couldn’t swim, but wanted to go down the slide. So essentially I threw myself into the water and said swim if you want to live.

But that was your choice... You weren't FORCED. You gave consent, for lack of better terminology.
