EC, don't apologize to this idiot.

He/she has yet to learn a very valuable lesson in all of this, one I'm sure the other children in the household have learned the hard way.

And that is, you pick your fights. And this one just isn't worth the effort.

Of course, our poster isn't going to give it up no matter what damage it does, to him, to the school and especially to the child.

My daughters found themselves in a similiar situation in Arkansas when they were required to wear a dress for photo day. They were both tomboys and hated the idea. But they did it because they know there are rules in place for reasons.

Of course, when the school sent home a permission slip for me to sign allowing the school to dish out 'corporal punishment' I sent it back unsigned. And the girls knew why.

Even after the threat of expulsion the girls were allowed to make up their own minds. And they agreed that the only people allowed to punish them were myself or their mother.

After all, they also knew if they got to that point my punishment would be much more decisive than anything the school could think of.

And the point of all this sam is, you are picking a battle that just isn't worth fighting. And that says a whole volume about who you are.

And that person just isn't worth the space in this forum.

Thanks for the support, but I really did err on thinking it was the photo for the yearbook--the official photo and not casual day or something.

I stand firm about teaching children to follow rules whether or not they like them and to seek change only after they have shown that they are mature enough to honor existing rules until such time as a change is made.

Happy Saturday!

Like I said in an earlier post, it's easy to call someone an idiot
on a website. It shows your true colors.

To EC:

Thanks again for input, I do appreciate it!
