Giraffes don't count. :rolleyes::p
See, now you ruined the shock factor. Do they make a condom big enough for a male giraffe? Gotta do research on that.

ETA: Never google giraffe penis. Just. Don't.

A giraffe penis can be 14 to 35 inches in length and there is video of it. And I didn't feel good before I did that. Crap.

Personally, I think children should be taught that masturbation is safe and not be made to think it is a horrible thing.
That may be a good choice for a parent to make. For the school to do so is more problematical as masturbation is hardly "safe".

google "masterbation addiction".

Oh yes, masturbation addiction can be debilitating. its a serious addiction, just like all the others. (addiction to orgasms, porn, prostitutes, it can lead most anywhere.)

I don't know of anyone who gave themselves a sexually transmitted disease by masturbating nor got pregnant by masturbating themselves.

As for addiction, Anything can be addictive. Trust me.

So what exactly do you expect kids to do? Deny deny deny their raging hormones and natural biological sexual urges because they might become "addicted"?? What teenager ISNT addicted to masturbating for first few years of puberty and most of them turn out just fine. And no amount of masturbation leads to STD's or pregnancy :rolleyes:

Moderation and denial of "instant gratification" ... something not enough kids have. any concept of self control.

THAT is the biggest load of hogwash i've read today. YOU try that "denial of instant gratification" and "self control" when you're a teen and your hormones are raging at their peak of puberty and all you see everywhere today is sex.

You are aware that it is a fact that infants masturbate, correct? Not toddlers but INFANTS (newborns, even). It is NATURAL. Instant gratification? If it is instant for you, dang, you must have gotten a lot of practice.

So, what, you advocate, just whipping it out to get one off, just about anywhere, school bathrooms? under blankets on a picnic?

And what makes you think that the kid wont think ... since it is good to touch yourself, how much more AW - SOME it will be if you get someone else to do it for you.

Masturbation is fine, but be warned, like all other addictions, your life can include intense suffering. likely forever.

Seriously? I mean, really. No one is advocating public indecency or public sex or public masturbation. Good grief. It is about options. And quite frankly, masturbation is the safest sex there is.

No I am not advocating that at all. BUT to do so in the private of ones room or within a safe secure environment fine. Sexual urges are natural like breathing, they happen whether we want them or not. Fact of life.

And if you want to play the addiction card then fine. Maybe our kids shouldn't ever watch television again, play video games, go shopping, drink soda, EAT FOOD! Because guess what, all those things can be addicting too. If you want to warn them about addiction then you at least should include all the other potential hazards....
