Oh. My. Gosh.
Darlin, that ain't the half of it.

Have you seen how to lose a guy in 10 days? Well, it wouldn't surprise me if the photos of ME with the kids were photoshopped to be pics of HER with the kids.

She's been getting the 7 year old's hair cut just like hers... and telling her their twins and no one will ever come between them.

Of course, the 10 year old... the one that looks JUST LIKE ME... she gets ignored completely.

I was just remembering when my MIL gave *me* a packet of photos...I guess she had come across them at her house and wanted the boys to have them or something. When I opened the envelope, the pix were of the boys' baptisms, with their parents and grandparents, naturally.

I tucked the packet away for the guys, because it was the right thing to do. I would never have destroyed the photos! I still have the packet for them, as carefully preserved as any other important photos. I'll give the pix to the guys when they actually want all that stuff -- and don't want to use me/us as Free Storage any more. :)

I agree this isn't the time for mediation because your ex is well aware he's violating the court order but thinks he is above the law. I wouldn't count on mediation "teaching" someone that they are not above the law. You can always go to mediation later, but I agree the judge needs to hear the motion.

I also think you have nothing to be afraid of that the bailiff will tell the judge what you said. You aren't admitting any guilt by enjoying not having to have contact with them.

i absolutely agree w/Wiley on the deputy's commentary.

he probably knows/talks w/the judge on a much more 'familiar' basis when others are not around. when he said 'the judge will love to hear that' and he was laughing, the context was not that the judge is going to use it to slam you, but, more probably, the judge will appreciate that you have such a great attitude about this mess.

it will (i think) work to your favor.

the more i read and research the more i am starting to think that courtrooms have a 'good ole boys' club going, same as many other professions.

Oh, I wasn't thinking that the deputy was saying that. Just one of those things that you think "Oh crap, what if he thinks I'm not taking him seriously?"

I mean... I LOVE this judge. I think he's amazing, used to be a GAL, and has exactly the attitude I want in a judge. Plus... totally reminds me of the judge in My Cousin Vinny.

Of course they do. Especially as this is a smallish town in a county full of smallish towns. I mean... the town I live in (county seat) is less than 2000 people. The town ex lives in is less than 600... and that's about average.

I just don't think it works against anyone like people post about. They all know each other... they've all worked together for 30 years in some cases. But they're also professionals and if they weren't good at their jobs, they wouldn't have them. Especially judges... they'd be voted out of office.

re: I just don't think it works against anyone like people post about.

we disagree here. i totally believe it worked against my husband.

but that may be changing.

there is new judge now and he slammed the one that did my husband's case so hard when HE got a divorce (i.e., money, visitation, etc.) that the guy asked for a break.

the new judge's response? "how does it feel".

i guess the old judge retired and divorced around the same time.

small town you know. news travels.

I know you do. And that's ok. This time. ;)

But that might just have been a judge being an a$$hole. Not necessarily a 'good ol boy' thing.

It sounds possible the feeling is mutual and the bailiff knew the judge would appreciate your attitude. I don't think you sound like you're not taking things seriously. You aren't violating the RO and are respectful in court.
