  By law, the landlord is required to only prove a working toilet. He is NOT required to supply a pretty toilet. You can however, ask him if you can replace the toilet at your own expense.

  Private owners can easily look up evictions in local court websites. Your best bet is to be honest with the landlord. Showing the landlord proof that the eviction judgement has been paid off may help as well.

  I would think that living in a signle family home for three years and then suddenly have bed bugs, would be plenty of proof that the tenant are responsible.

  No. If its illegal in your state to have a non refundable deposit, then only that part of the lease would be unenforceable. The the rest of the lease would be completely enforceable.

  I doubt that a notice to vacate that is send by e-mail is sufficient unless it is acknowledged by the recipient. Does your lease require you to give written notice?

  I believe the OP did not pay his final utilities nor did the OP give proper notice under Texas law. I also do not believe that the OP is being charged for damages to the unit.
