Yeah, sorry... not buying it.

See, here's the deal. If the DOCTOR thought that medical neglect was taking place, then the DOCTOR would have to call CPS all on his/her own. Because the DOCTOR is a mandated reporter.

Dad is trying to get custody of these kids. He's actually hoping that when they go to court mid-January that he'll be awarded custody.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if 90% of this was an effort to create enough evidence to prove Mom unfit.

It's VERY likely that the reason CPS doesn't seem to 'do anything' is because the calls are determined to be unfounded.

Have y'all ever wondered what MY Ex would sound like posting here about how unfit I AM... his calls to CPS, etc? Think about it.

Dad called CPS after the were Notified By A nurse for peets sake. Dad isnt trying to get custody but Mom is doing dumb stuff. Dad has told her that and everybody telling him to go for it.
CPS does nothing about the medical or the grandma b/c before when the HOSPITAL called on Mom the caseworker literally wrote on the drug test form "KNOWN PERSONALLY" come one. Mom boasted as well her own mom in June about seeing "name here" the other day in line and blah blah.
Mom tells CPS dad does Drugs and His wife is a dealer drug tested him and her and that didnt matter. But B/C mom told them that they drug tested their whole household but to come to find out a year later only Mom in her whole Household was drug tested!!!!

Thats a little off if you ask me.
Whether or not DR today made a call is not for me to know and Dad doesnt know.
Does he need to call her and ask her. NO
Dad only wants safety for his childrens care not to be mean to mOm.
I think too many burned peple think that the case and it is truly Not!

By the way to the poster that thinks b.c Dad has internet makes any difference to Him getting on here make no never mind... He barley can type an email in 30 or 45 mintues.
He is not computer savvy shall I say? Only b/c I couldnt text it to him. He doesnt have a cell phone.

My thoughts exactly Cjane. It also occurs to me that a REAL friend of the family, as OP claims to be, would not so publicly publish this family's dirty laundry or get so involved in this family's personal problems.
what is so bad im publishing! What dirty laundry? These a facts and im sure theres some more. Im not interfering. Im here to you guys getting opinions and options for peolpe I care about. Is that soo wrong?

CJ im not here to make you believe my script, merely answers to questions and all that.
If you dont believe it, than check out a thread you do. No offense.. :) i like u

I know whats true... gimme your email I could send you over 100 emails between Mom and Dad that will show you the lack of parenting mom has and the efforts of Dad.
Mom hasnt given Dad the chance to F*uck Up. She is digging her own hole. Maybe Dad could too. He has done anything and everything her atty asked in the temp court order, Played her games and lost. Come on. Mom wants something bad to happen while Dad has the girls so it looks bad on him. Its evident.

Granted the man isnt the brightest but he tries to make commen sense with her and agreeable terms.

I may be behind on this one here, but after being bored to tears from reading it. I have to wonder if Dad is soooo worried about the medical welfare of the children missing the Appointment why didn't he take them to the ER. They are open on Saturday's you know!

dad has already once taken them on his 4 hr visit saturday. Dad drove 45 mintutes to get them and then had to go to the hospital for one of the girls...

this happened today (THURSDAY)so if he needs to take them this sat he can. If an issue arises in their breathing he has to anyway. He doesnt have the meds to give them.
Dad is calling the PCP tomorrow to see what her order was on the meds b/c mom said it was q4. Now mom says its PRN. BUT if she hasnt seen the pulmonoligist as requested how did this change... The PCP is actually a Nurse Practicioner(?) and they usually write orders till they see a specialist, to be reviewed and changed as necessary.

But even at PRN that could happen in 8 hours to give the treatments. So that what he is having to do until he gets a 2nd rx which is unlikley cuz ins wont pay it.

How much does dad care? You seem to be in constant contact with him. Therefore, he has phone and internet access. Why is he not here looking for information about his OWN LIFE? I understand you care about these people. I do think your level of involvement in this situation is quite inappropriate as a " neighbor ". ( Even if you do share a landlord ). I think these parents and more importantly THESE CHILDREN would be 100% better off if all of their friends, relatives and neighbors would butt the heck out.

Custody, C/S, Visitation, Medical issues, Schooling etc. Should be addressed by the PARENTS of the children and the PARENTS ALONE. This cluster **** these poor kids are dealing with is NOT in their best interest. Posting that video was a VERY bad decision.
( Did you not think their friends and friend's parents would see it? Even though they are not off school age yet, this WILL be seen by their peers at some point. How will that affect them? If this is a small town, they are already a laughingstock. Things like this are NEVER forgotten.)

You may have good intentions but you need to back off and let the parents handle this.

Dude how does a NEIGHBOR have over 100 emails between mom and dad? You are far too involved or not being upfront and honest. And if dad wanted to know he could come here. We don't care how long it takes to type. The fact that you know everything about everything says something.

Hell, my family didn't have this level of information about my dealings with my ex (and we're very close). All these people need to step way way back. If Dad has questions, he's the one who should be looking for answers.

Sorry to interrupt, but I'd like to clarify that both could be correct. Depending upon the medication used in the nebulizer, the order could read "q4 prn". Translated, it means the medication could be given on an "as needed" basis, but not any more frequent than every 4 hours. Unfortunately for this child, neither parent seems compentent enough to properly assess her need for the medication.

I'd also like to echo the other posters who pointed out that the PCP is a mandated reported. If he/she felt the child's health would be compromised because the parent is non-compliant with treatment, he/she must report it to CPS.

Ya know, given Dad's slow typing, that's like 32 hours of email if he only sent 1/2 of them.

Also, Jax, if Dad 'doesn't want custody'... can you explain this...?

With all dads hard work and keeping with his orders and non agressive behavior and moms lack in caring enough for babies as well as their disabiliies and weakened social skills will Dad have a shot at full custody or dad would also be happy with expanded possesion- Thur-Sun every week. Please tell me what you feel a judge should and could be most co-herent to in deciding a factor- Dad has stable job and stable home-mom has moved alot with children and left them with several people- First time Dad picked them up at 18 mos never cried when left mom-
I hope this is all readable thanks!!
Or this...

Dad and Mom will be in court next year Mid January or so to begin proceeding and Dad is hopefull that full- custody is something he can obtain due to situation-

dads wants to file for custody-
does he have a chance?????
Dad did file custody but he had not served mom or got a hearing

My thought exactly.
I think OP is Dad
Since we're guessing, I think it's Dad's wife. Given OP's ability to express his or her self, I don't think Dad would be able to keep from referring to himself as I or Me...

Yes a nurse told me that the rx could had been q4 to as needed but if a appt was set up with a pulmonoligist than there was a reason for that. Maybe PCP needed to make sure since it could be out of her scope so to speak, but thanks!!!

You don't get it.

Google MANDATED REPORTER

If the DOCTOR BELIEVES THERE IS NEGLECT, the DOCTOR will call CPS. And NO CPS worker in their right mind is going to ignore a call from a physician.

Doc didn't call CPS? Doc doesn't believe neglect is taking place.

Or this...
Ya and that was another thread to see if Dad had chances... There are people that feel he should, but when two parents wont or cant agree to terms let the judge decide who gets full custody or joint.. We all know Dad will end up with Joint, but he has expressed his thoughts that he does Not want to be an every other weekend father and was told by his wife and his atty he could also obtain Expanded Possesion, but that thread was too find out how far dad could go if he did file custody.
