jax- was that you in the grey sweatshirt that walked up to the SUV?

The girl in the grey is Dads Wife- She should not have walked up. She could have got hurt. She should not care to help them when they have threatedned her and her family and look what happens.
She said she did because Mom was calling her and had asked for the Sheriffs Number. Which they shoulda called 911 too if needed.

the whole scenario was ridiculous....actually mom and dad were the only ones that seemed even a little reasonable.....which should give them a clue that everyone else needs to stay away.....

um...are you the sister in law to dad?

It's interesting to me that Dad is not pursuing the Medical equip/treatment issue as that IS a reason to lose Custody (Medical Neglect) and is FAR EASIER to prove than whether or not Mom's Mom is a nutcase.

However, if you suspect bias with CPS, Dad can contact the Office of the Ombudsmen. They will direct him from there.

Please forgive me I never saw it. Yes Dad did tell CPS that too, but his call was from what happened. A nurse called CPS too about the medical. Dad had dealt with CPS on mom before and they were always so rude and he tried to tell them the poeple in the home and never listened. But thanks for the info!!

are you dad's wife?

I'm sorry, just trying to put the peices together after watching that, it just seemed so unnecessary, I don't get it

have dad and mom come to an agreement to attend the swaps alone then?

No .. Dad asked her to meet him at the SA kids exchange where u sign in and never see each other. Her lawyer wouldnt even take the pamplet. I think he is going to try the Police station now is each town they live in.

Dad went by himself to his 2 hr visits for 4 weeks, but mom would have her BF sit right outside the window of the resturant.
Then the first day Mom picked up the girls she brought her BF sister and mother.
Her bf's mother argues with Dad over him paying CS to mom and blah blah.
When mom came with her BF (even though he threatened DAD) there was never a problem.
Then the last time Mom brings her Mom and friend.
The two weeks prior to Sat mom refused Dad his visits.

Dad needs to understand this very clearly.....

do NOT talk to or even acknowledge anyone other than mom....get the kids and leave, give the kids, and leave.....that's it done....if he follows that, and anything happens, it's all them

Yes his lawyer said so. When he did that Sat before this happened when he got the girls, Mom started screaming let me say by let me say bye and started banging on the passenger car window as dad drove off. So that was why Mom brought he Mom. Theres no doubt with them.

I won't even respond to anything about the rest of your post because I find that behavior disgusting. Unfortunately I have family that would act like that, but I sure don't have all that drama around my kids.

but anyway...

Dad requested the medical records from the hospital and they want 2000.00 for 3800 pages for both girls!!
This is something I do know something about because in my job I am required to request medical records on a regular basis.

"The Texas Legislature sets the fees for hospital charges for medical records. This is found in §241.154(e) of the Health and Safety Code. (http://tlo2.tlc.state.tx.us/statutes/hs.toc.htm).

These charges are reviewed annually based on the price index as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the United States Department of Labor. The following fees are effective as of October 19, 2007:

Medical Records in Paper Form

Each hospital charges the following fees for the copying of health care information. Additionally, the hospital charges the actual cost of mailing, shipping or otherwise delivering the provided copies.

1-10 pages: $40.06
11-60 pages: $1.35 per page
61-400 pages: $0.67 per page
More than 400 pages: $0.35 per page

So, although expensive, 3000 pages would be somewhere around $1,200.00.

Sounds like a lot, but 3000 pages seriously? That is a lot of medical records. I have had to request records for someone who was in a serious accident requiring a long hospitalization that didn't add up to that much.

Oh, also if you don't need the entire chart you can request things like just nurses notes. Or just the admit and discharge summaries, etc.

No kidding.

I have my kids (ages 11 and 8) entire medical records from EVERY appointment and several ER/specialist things...

and grand total for BOTH kids is about 35 pages... and only because some stuff repeats (Specialists notes are copied to regular Doc's files)

Twain is 2... his medical records? One page of vaccinations and one Dr appt... so like 3 pages total.

Hell, I'm 34 and have given birth three times and had emergency surgery, and MY medical records are probably only 30 pages or so.

The lady @ the methodist hospital told him for over 50 pages was 30 cents a page.
The girls were in the Hospital from 04-25-06 to July 01 (for one baby) and Mid Ausgust for the other baby.
One is 1500.00 and 500.00 for the records. The total page count was 3800.
Dad tried to get these b/c mom stated to Dad;s mother she no longer gave one baby the treatments. Then when Dad gets his visitation he probes Mom for DR's, meds & all that and nothing. Dad had to research a last name Mom gave him to fing a phone number and address to get the next DR appt. He did that so far.

Dad is working on getting Medical records for Minnesota too to see if there ever was a DR order to not give to treatments.

DAD requested the Entire Record. I didnt assume Nurses Notes would give any diagnoses or medicines or anything. I could be wrong
