What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
You need to comprehend a few things.
The courts will expect your husband to pay child support in the amount granted by law. If not he can expect the consequences from liens on his property and bank accounts to seizures of refunds to spending time in jail.
If mom wanted to, she can get a restraining order against your third party interference. She can get restrictions placed to limit you being around her child or to force dad to only have visitation if you are not around.
Reasonable is not four hours before a visit. It is 24 hours. Heck mom was asking for the night before. Dad doesn't get to dictate that he gets the child in ten minutes. Mom has a life. Dad has nothing else on his plate. He needs to get a job though.
YOU need to stay out of it. Completely. YOU are NOT tied to the mother or the child. You are only tied to your hubby and he can sever that tie by divorcing you if you don't have children together.
It hurts that he cheated on you with her doesn't it? Or chose her first and had a baby with her? Get over it.
ETA: This is in response to her thread What is "reasonable" which she deleted after receiving the legal responses. As a stepmother she has no rights to the child, nor should she be interfering with the situation. Dad needs to step up and follow the court orders for child support or he most likely WILL be found in contempt. If he is not paying support he is a deadbeat. Also he should not be expecting mom to jump at his demands on a few hours notice.
