     MS has a higher tax rate on non-owner-occupied residential property than if it's owner-occupied. My home state of WV is the same way, which came as a shock after my mom passed away and I got the first tax bill for her home.

      Yes the debt should be paid. I would get that in writing from the hospital and send a copy to the attorney suing you. I would also plan on showing up to the hearing just in case the debt collector neglects to drop the case, because they're about as ethical as used car dealers.

      I would plan on going that day, especially if you don't recognize the debt. If this is a junk debt buyer it could be a case of mistaken identity. It would stink to get a default judgment against you for someone else's debt.
