You are so naive! You REALLY think doctors are that concerned? They just listen to what the parent tells them.
If you believe that your children's doctor is not concerned, find a new doctor. My children's pediatrician is VERY concerned about their health.

And it's VERY easy to induce labor on ones self. Any woman knows that.
I am a woman and have many friends that are women and NONE of us know how to induce labor. I was 5 week OVERDUE with my first child and asked for advice from every mother I knew on how to induce labor and not one could tell me how.

Most ways to induce labor are old wives tales and the ones that do have some merit, tyically only produce Braxton Hicks(false contractions).

If she induced labor on her own, and early at that, she would have had to have gone to great lengths like denying herself food, water, etc for awhile, and taking laxatives, castor oil is a popular one, in order to dehydrate and produce contractions.

It is very hard to do, even for overdue mothers who have already begun to efface and dialate.

You got THAT right! I was overdue by weeks, had membranes thinned, was told to walk and have lots of sex...AND had a pitocin drip~ My little angel still arrived when she was darn good & ready! :p

Really? This woman doesn't, and believe me... right now, I would LOVE to know exactly how to convince myself to go into labor!

I read an article that said sex does have usefulness is speeding up the process but that oral sex on the male and....ingesting the..."aftermath" worked better. Something about the proglastins(sp?) work better ingested than on the cervix. Of course hubby was elated when he read the article. ;)

All of my kids, except the last who was a c-section, were overdue and induced. I never got any of those natural induction methods to work. Only pitocin and cervadil did for me.

he he...yeah my X lit up like a Roman Candle when the OBGYN gave me that advice. And, of course, that's the last thing I felt like doing when I was overdue and hobbling around like an elephant riding a chicken!

My first one we tried a fast car drive over frost heaves...didn't work :(

The second one I didn't want to spend two days in the hospital in labor so I didn't call the doc all day..went shopping, went for big walks, had a huge dinner..then broke my water laughing watching Liar, Liar, with Jim Carrey (lol) was in the hospital 1 1/2 hours before delivery. (cut it a bit close)

Anyhow, short of oxytocin /pitocin(in the hospital) I never heard of any homemade ways that actually work. What did your ex-wife do that you know she induced her own labor?

Raspberry leaf tea, nipple stimulation, dhea, sex, seman contains hormones that help induce labor

Incorrect, the proglastins must contact the cervix to cause it to dialate, swallowing nutralizes the chemical and hormonal potential of the seamanal fluid.

Sounds to me that the best way to induce labor is through "relations" which would mean that OP is just at much fault as the ex.

I think he is the one that needs the mental health evalutation. Do you know notice that he will be screaming in one post and then the next post is very calm with correct punctuation? OP also claims to still love the ex. I think it's time for him to schedule his own doctor appt.

Check. Check. Huh? Check.

Damn, guess BB just isn't ready to come out yet.
