With the child living with the aunt, now would be the perfect time for dad to get CUSTODY and make sure the child gets the help he needs. It doesn't mean the child actually has to LIVE with him. It sounds like the child needs the help of a residential facility. If the NCP really does want to help the child, now would be the time to do it. Mom doesn't have to shoulder all the blame herself.

I totally agree with you, I was just thinking about this. If my husbands daughter was out of control like this & living with someone else, I think he'd get custody so he could put her somewhere to get HELP. His c/s money would be used wisely (for once) and the money her mom would have to send it could help cover the costs.

OP, try suggesting this to your husband.

I am saying what you said. You said your husband does not want custody. As for my comments, you are on a public forum and cannot dictate who posts or not.

Tell me something,...whose role is it to be taking care of this child? The mother? The father?, or the Aunt?[/IThe "Child" is 16.3 FYI, has been in and out of trouble (while living with CP mom) suspended from school, burned down a barn, broke a kids arm at school, hit a teacher and the last straw was he sexually abused his younger sister. Now you tell me how the he__ is it that this is the parent's fault. Next I bet you're gonna say the devil made him do it. If he murders someone is it the parents fault also? When does he take responsibility for his actions? Believe me, we have tried!

If he molested his sister, please explain why he is not in juvie?

I guess it wasn't reported by the CP(Mom) it's her daughter and third father of her third child.
Why didn't your hubby report it? You people are really messed up. So basically, you don't know if he did or not.

My comments stand, your husband needs to grow up and be a real man. The mother needs to grow up also. This aunt out of the goodness of her heart obviously feels safe with him, why else would she be taking care of this monster, (As you portray him)?

What qualifications does the AUNT have in caring for a kid like this? He's a serious criminal! Why isn't he in a detention center? You don't pass a kid like this around, you put him in an institution! What happened to the younger sister? How old is/was she? Was he arrested for any/all of these crimes?
The aunt is a better person than I am. I don't think I would take in my niece or nephew under these circumstances.

The Aunt might not be fully aware of the circumstances.

Hun, there is nothing to prove he molested anyone. Mom, nor dad reported it. Nor did the poster for that matter.

now that i have read all 4 pages of this nonsence here it is in a nutshell...OP is the step-mom and has problems with the idia of dad having custody and just wants to know how to keep bio-mom from getting cs when kid is with aunt...well...the Q re: how to send $ to aunt has been answered (several times)as far as dad growing some steel ones and taking care of his kid (who needs some MAJOR help)i think it sounds like that just wont happen
it is sad to know that dad is not willing to step up and take care of his own son...and as for the parents not being responsible for a child having problems like ADHD etc.etc.etc...they may not be responsible for the child having the problem but they ARE 100% responsible for how those problems are delt with and if this child is 16 and this out of control it IS their fault

as for shay going away and getting a life... i do believe she has a VERY nice life

Look at her, instead of answering why she or her hubby didn't report the child, she get's her underoos in a twist and acts like a stupid child.

I don't think Shay is the only one who wants to know what the story is with the boy molesting his sister. This is a very serious matter, but you have been rather vague about it. Why? Does the Aunt know he molested his sister? What did your husband do when he learned that his son molested his sister? These are fair questions.
